to the forest, and started catching them. The man

they became harder to catch, so the villagers stopped
their effort.

The man then
announced that he would now pay $20 for each  one. This renewed
9 b3 }4 c4 S6 \# t0 o( ?- t$ _the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys
" n! A6 d" }! r+ H* _# O! o1 }again.   But soon the supply diminished even further and
# A, U; c6 n/ k+ W- ^; L/ `3 F& b' Ethey were ever harder to catch, so people started going back to
their farms and forgot about monkey catching. The man increased his
price to $25 each and the supply of monkeys became so
% u# s( s* r" C4 V# E, _" `sparse that it was an effort to even see a monkey, much
3 u" I' I2 i, w5 h; n& vless catch one.

was away the assistant told the villagers. 'Look at all these monkeys

you at $35 each and when the man returns from the city, you can sell

The villagers
rounded up all their savings and bought all the monkeys. They never
  C' K$ o; b# o6 B$ w8 U' Q$ D; dsaw the man nor his assistant again and once again there were monkeys
everywhere.
