至于博士毕业后做什么，我想不是coding那么简单, 多少行代码也说明不了什么。对于我来说，理想的工作是优化算法，提高生物实验的效率。

楼主说得是！

1。 优化算法  是PHD Computer 的终极出路，要不然PHD 不白念了？  再说和Bachelor,Master  的年轻人也竞争不过。

2。  楼主的方向已经偏向了"生物“，  这就很好。  门槛高，  其它人很难进来。

补充一点，我不算是纯粹的计算机博士生，本科学的是生物，硕士是计算机专业，现在搞的是Computational Biology, i.e, Bioinformatics， 偏向于算法设计方面。现在流行的C#, .NET, SAP我都不会，我用得最多只是Python和C++, 工作环境是Linux。

我更想进的是生物制药公司，像Merck, Pfizer,Bayer之类的大公司的R&D 部门。可是这个方向德国这边没有多少的opening positions。

bayer收了schering之后，现在正在裁员呢，美国那边都关了几个部门了，想现在进入可能比较难哦。回中国就不清楚了。
