谢谢LS的,我知道这个歌词.不过现在这句话好像不光是字面意思.由引申的意思.想问问,有没有知道引申的含义,急求!

I guess,
6 Y: S; y2 ?/ I8 y& k1. pudding is the dessert after the main course/meal. Meat(such as steak)  is the main course/meal. 2 ^. z. O6 u8 |1 C
So, if you don't eat your main meal(chunky, difficult to digest)  first,  the waiter/waitress won't serve you the dessert.  R' R2 U* H0 R1 b
the lyrics MIGHT mean that if you(as students don't study hard), you won't get anything sweet from the life. ; k* o* L- J8 O: v% C) y
. F! K6 A4 a+ m4 J3 \( F
2. The lyrics is typical black English: double negative = negative (NOT positive). eg.. we don't need no education = we don't need education.

4. on surface,  the song is a defense for those drop-out kids. The society as a whole need lawyers and doctors,  as well as  ditch diggers.
